On the Old Spanish Trail leading to California, the Spanish Fort in St Augustine is the first U.S. city founded by the Spaniard Pedro Menéndez de Avilés, in 1565.

Oldest cathedral parish of US

Founded in the mid-16th century by the Spaniard Pedro Menendez de Aviles, it is the oldest cathedral parish of the continental United States. It even has its own street called Avilés.

The fort is amazing

Excellent

There is a lot of history. Great shops and restaurants.
