Stelvio National Park

Avalanches, cascading water and human activities on the mountain landscape. From Niblogo car park, in around 2.5 hours, you can reach Baita al Pastore along an easy forestry road. Keep your eyes on the sky, there has been an extensive program to reintroduce the lammageier into the park.

There are now around 130 individuals established there. Along the trail there is a series of information boards describing their lifecycle and interactions with the surrounding environment. There are also fascinating small fauna, we saw the hummingbird hawk moth sipping nectar from the riverside flowers.
