1 review of Textile Museum

An interesting exhibition

The Textile Museum (Washington) has a 5th century tapestry, woven and found in Egypt .
Some papyrus drawings have survived, some of which appear to be cartoons for woven tapestries. This fragment includes rosettes and birds, which was inspiration for artists in the Mediterranean world and approved by designers worldwide. In this exhibition, there is an indoor Bhutan throne with bird appliques and flower patterns and a Peruvian colonial wall.
