Thai Gardens Restaurant (Closed)

This restaurant is impressive, it is worth it since it takes you to Thailand. The decoration is like a window to that country. Actually, in the basement they have a mini cinema next to the bathroom with seats where they show a documentary on tourism in Thailand without interruption.

The tasting menu is quite good, for 37€, even though the food has some occidental touch because the it is not very spicy and Thai food is usually all the opposite. But is is good.

It has a terrace and a VIP area on the upper floor. Reserve a month before, it is really in demand...

The truth is such a place cannot be missing in a travelers' community.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Madrid. It is probably not the most expensive and best Asian restaurant in Madrid (competing with Asiana is very difficult), but the charm and good atmosphere of Thai Gardens make it very special.

I went there twice and everything I ordered was exquisite, not even one negative point. The service is excellent, like in almost any Asian. I also recommend the Thai beer, I loved it. The only thing is that it is impossible going without booking a few days in advance.

I also went to the presentation of an NGO called ASHAVARI, on the last floor of the restaurant. It is an ideal place to organize cocktail parties, presentations...

It is the loveliest restaurant I have ever been to, a flower shop that also gives food can only result in a perfect garden in the center of Madrid. I recommend ordering the tasting menu, there is nothing you will regret and this way you will try different things. The only drawback is the price, 36€ with taxes and dessert but without drinks.
