The Stronghold of the Canyon

Within the grounds of Planchada Park, this cannon is a replica of an original that was built during the reign of Carlos III and was located in the same place. It was a defense that was geared towards the bay of Santander which was protected by the cannon sticking out of a wall. It is now longer dangerous and this area is now equipped for children's play.
