theWit Chicago, A DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

I'm normally the type of traveler who picks a hotel based on cost primarily and isn't particularly loyal to specific hotels or brands.

theWit is one of only a handful of hotels I make an exception for.

You see, it's perfect. It has a great location right in the thick of things. A the intersection of State and Lake, tourists will find it easy to get around. It's a 2-minute walk to the blue line (to the airport) and right on the "L" loop trains. Additionally, there are buses leaving from across the street to places like Museum Campus or the Museum of Science & Industry. Plus you can walk to Millennium Park, the Magnificent Mile, the Chicago River (don't miss a boat tour), theatres, and tons of great restaurants.
