Tirana International Hotel
The problem with Tirana isn't its tourism, but rather its infrastructure. Hotels, hostels, etc., are all of minimum quality, yet they're very expensive! The International Hotel is a four star hotel that's situated in the center, and is one of the most convenient for travelers and business people who want to be in the center of Tirana and see everything without having to worry about moving around a lot. The hotel was built during the communist era, but today there are new managers trying to restore its image and modernize it. The staff is friendly and in general they speak English. Ask the staff if you have a question about visits, because there is a tourism office in Tirana! This hotel has changed its appearance, but it remains one of the most famous and popular in the capital.
