Torre de Clackmannan

One of the most representative structures of the Ruta de las Torres and one of the biggest in the city of Clackmannan. On a hill named "the seat of the King" on the back of Clackmannan, this 5-story building was constructed during the century by order of King David II of Scotland who later sold it to his nephew Robert the Bruce in the year 1359 , who got the country's independence. The widow of the last owner had as a guest, the poet and writer, Robert Burns "The Bard of Scotland" during the 17th century. After, the tower house was falling out of favor until it was donated to the government, who cares and exploits it now.
