Langtang Trek

After a long hike, there's nothing better than coming back to this hotel, in the central Thamel neighbourhood. It has all the amenities you'd expect, including a garden patio where you can have a beer on a hot afternoon. This is clearly not a hotel for backpackers because of its $ 40 rooms, with other guest houses available for 8 or $ 10.

Langtang valley in the north of Nepal gives tourists a taste of idyllic rural life. Working on the field and rearing animals is the standard daily rituals here. People of Langtang keep grazing pastures inland for livestock, but the Himalayan wilderness is mainly undeveloped. Home to more than 70 glaciers, Langtang is primarily praised for its proximity to the capital and incredible mountain scenery.
