Vientiane

Vientiane is an interesting Asian city. It seems like a true oasis of wealth amid the jungles of Laos. Here lives the ruling class that dominates the country. 15 miles beyond the small town there is cement and a population of a far more modest throng along the Mekong River and a bumpy road. Incredible contrast!
