Viewpoint of the Beaches

The Mirador de las Playas is one of the best places to contemplate the bay area of the island. It offers a great panoramic view of the coast.

From the viewpoint you can see the Roque de Bonanza in the area of Las Playas, with impressive stretches of black sand of volcanic origin in contact with the sea. It is easy to get there from the region of San Andrés, taking the HI-1 road southbound and taking the detour to Las Casas.

About a kilometer before arriving to Las Casas there are a number of detours that take you places from where you can get a view areas such as Mocanal, Mirador de Isora and Mirador de Las Playas.

This viewpoint was the first place we visited in El Hierro, it is located in the east coast of the island, and its impressive panoramic view gives you an idea of the special orography of El Hierro. From above you can see one of the few beach areas of the island, where the viewpoint is, it looks so small from a distance.

You get there from San Andrés, taking the HI-1 road, southbound, taking the detour to Las Casas.
