1 review of Welland Canal

This canal was built parallel to the Niagara River for ships carrying goods from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie

This canal was built parallel to the Niagara River for ships carrying goods from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie. The height difference is due to the construction of various locks, so that the boats could pass from one lake to another. The most important one is lock number two, which is prepared for tourists to visit and with a very interesting museum about it.
