A beautiful resort
Just half an hour by bus from the central bus station in Canterbury, Westgate-on-Sea is a beautiful resort that makes a great place to stop for half a day. Less charming and not as well known as Whitstable and Herne Bay, it has the advantage of being a lot less crowded. We especially enjoyed its long sandy beach, traditional houses, and its cute downtown area.
