The best beach in the world

Two hours on a boat from Airlie Beach plus two hours to enjoy the best beach one day equals one incredible day. Why is Whitehaven Beach considered the best beach on Earth? Well, the photos speak for themselves. The sand is find and white (it's almost like flour), the waters are amazingly clean and blue, and the simple lack of tourists all come together to make Whitehaven the top beach in the world.

You can also get there on a small plane (though it's expensive). The only downside is that you can't spend more than a few hours there since it's a protected place. So, the "I'm going to spend the morning on the beach" plan won't exactly work at Whitehaven Beach.

Wonder of nature...

Whitehaven Beach is one of my favorite places on Earth and I'm sure it always will be. The beach is on the Whitsunday Islands in Queensland, an area of which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The only way to get there is on a boat (whether private or charter if your choice) or a ferry from Hamilton Island. We're not just talking about a beach with pure white sand and turquoise waters...we're talking about a true wonder of nature, the world's largest living organism, the Great Barrier Reef! The sand on Whitehaven beach is basically quartz and it's so find that it seems to slip between your fingers.

Whitehevean Beach

North of the Gold Coast are the islands along the Great Barrier Reef. We visited two of the 74 islands - Whitesundays Island and its surrounding islands from the beach. Whitehaven beach is a wonderful white sandy beach that is on this island and it is rightfully considered as one of the most beautiful in the world. Its just beautiful. In the tourist guides it says: A must see before dying!!!

An incredible place

Excellent

This is an essential place to visit. It's unique, spectacular, it's just...paradise. It is among the best beaches in the world, without a doubt.

It's beautiful from the moment you cross a piece of the island to the observatory surrounded by greenery, and continue down and find yourself among some branches looking out upon the indescribable blue sea and white sand that feels like flour.
