Caves Vasconcellos

Vila Nova da Gaia is a municipality on the south bank of the Douro River, opposite Oporto. The main wineries that have become famous for sweet wine worldwide are located here. Walking a few hundred meters you can visit more than 30 (yes, if you go on weekdays because on Sundays some are closed). To visit you have to pay in almost all of them but if you end up purchasing some of the wines the entrance is refunded. In my case, I was in Vasconcellos.
