A nice place
In the building facing the Town Hall in Marienplatz, there is a library with endless shelves. If you know German you will love it, there are thousands of volumes to buy, but if like me you don't understand one word it's better to go up the escalators or the glass elevator to the top floor. Up there is a nice Starbucks type cafe with huge windows to the outside directly to the mythical Munich-based resort. If you are lucky and you can sit by the window you've succeeded: You can have a drink without freezing or missing what happens in the city. Really nice.
