The Zeruko is an obliged visit to all of those who wish to have a sublime experience. Each pintxo is an authentic work of art and engineering.
Marili makes sure that everyone is happy. I don’t recommend any specific pintxo because I wouldn’t be able to choose; you will see what I’m talking about with the pictures.

It is a timeless restaurant in the old part of San Sebastian. First the parents created it and now the children are the innovators. José Antonio is the great chef and Marili manages the staff.
The name of the restaurant comes from the name of the boat that the family used to own.
About the cuisine: the bar is phenomenal, the pintxos are colorful and delicious. In fact, José Antonio has won many trophies from the “cocina del pintxo” (the pintxo cuisine).
The restaurant is small, with only ten tables. It is recently renovated.
When we go to Zeruko we go crazy with the foie gras and its two magnificent formulas: the impeccable and splendid foie gras mousse, wrapped in Modena cream, and bread with seeds; or the exquisite foie gras terrine over a sensual and aromatic bread with orujo de hierbas (strong alcoholic liquor distilled from herbs pressings), sherry and raisins.
It is the best restaurant in all of San Sebastian. It’s innovative and modern. All the dishes are delicious, but my favorite is the cuttlefish hamburger with wasabi mousse.
It isn’t too expensive and the service is excellent.
