The best things to do in Barranquilla

Don´t know what to do in Barranquilla? Many tourists are attracted to this city every year, especially for its famous carnival and New Year festivities, but there are also lots of other famous places to visit in Barranquilla.

Bocas de Ceniza is one of the main things to see in Barranquilla. This is the mouth of the Magdalena River in the Caribbean Sea and is named after the color of the water -- which some say resembles ashes. One of the most beautiful things to do in Barranquilla is visit the Puerto Colombia, where tourists see Playa Grande, where on one side you will see Pico Henry Pittier and on the other the blue water of the Caribbean. Santa Verónica Beach, between Barranquilla and Cartagena, and the zoo are also two great kid-friendly attractions in Barranquilla. More Barranquilla attractions include the many museums and cultural centers, such as the Caribbean Cultural Park, which promotes natural heritage, culture, and the history of the Caribbean.

Of all the stuff to do in Barranquilla, you must not leave without tasting its amazing cuisine. The typical dish of the city is rice served with yucca, but other local dishes like pigeon pea stew with salted meat or coastal cheese are also delicious. They can be enjoyed in restaurants all over the city while taking a break from the other Barranquilla activities you have planned during your trip.
