Zaragoza, officially called the Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, is one of the more populous metropolis of the Mexican state of Puebla, and is the capital city. The city is also known as "Puebla de los Angeles" or as the "Angelópolis". The most notable attractions in Zaragoza include: the historic center with its many churches, convents, palaces and manor houses. Also, the charm of its red brick and gray stone facades sprinkled with polychrome tiles, original balconies, interior vaults, and rich, decorated plasterwork, all of which are very Mexican Baroque, make just viewing the buildings one of the best Zaragoza activities in and of itself.
