Angra dos Reis is a city Litorânea located in the State of Rio de Janeiro, 151 km from Rio. The best form of entertainment is boating around the islands. There are many choices of companies that make these trips, but they all go to the same islands. On each island, the boat makes a 30 minutes stop 30, so you can learn more about each corner and to scuba dive since the sea in this area is highly crystalline and clean.
The name says everything. It´s a naturally good inn. There is camping and the owner Nice is a lovely woman who cooks great meals and bends over backward for her customers. We arrived after a full day of hiking in the rain and Nice greeted with a delicious cacui juice which is one of the many tropical fruits that I discovered in Brazil. It has a very distinctive taste but I liked it a lot. For dinner we had lula (squid) with pasta was glorious. The kitchen has a wooden stove and the food products are organic. Modernity has arrived to this place in the form of Wi-Fi and a sauna. Nice, like many people who live in Ilha Grande, decided to escape the big city and live in the island in a more natural way (hence the name of the inn).
We liked everything: the location, the facilities and especially the staff. The owners of the hotel (Ernesto and Evelina) are lovely. One morning we even went for a ride on Ernest's boat around the bay islands. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast had a great spread. There is also a restaurant where we ate delicious local dishes. An ideal place to spend a few days to relax and disconnect.
A few years ago I came to this resort in a prime spot right on the beach in Angra dos Reis. There are 144 rooms, each with AC, telephone, TV., Mini bar room service. It's a great hotel but it's a few years old, but the important thing is that it has a private beach where you can play water sports. There's a restaurant with a great buffet. It has a sauna, outdoor pool, tennis court, fitness center, parking, etc..
