There's so much I could say about this hotel - it really is great, with old-style rooms (it used to be a palace), lovely furniture, and beautiful views ... everything is fantastic, but I loved the breakfast! It's not too extensive, but everything is delicious. With coffees and juices and local pastries, such as ladyfingers and other treats. It's been a couple of years, but I still haven't been able to forget all the details of that gorgeous breakfast.
The Palmasera Village Resort Hotel is located in the eastern coastal region of Cala Gonone, Sardinia, Italy. The lively and pleasant village of Cala Gonone offers tourists a wonderful port from which they can reach the bays and beaches by boat. It's surrounded by green shrubs. The resort extends within 12 acres of the Mediterranean. The rooms were renovated in 2005. They have air conditioning, safe, water bottles, a bathroom with a bidet, shower and toiletries, and free high speed internet. As for its general facilities, the Palmasera Village Resort has a cinema, a conference room, a heated pool, two restaurants, sauna, gym and massage.
Lovely place for nature lovers, a great place to escape from it all. The half-pension is great, the dishes are exquisite and they give you the option to try many dishes, the staff is good and attentive. I recommend it, it´s worth every cent for the service, the beauty and the breakfast. The location is incredible!
On the Italian island of Sardinia t is very common to see campsites and caravans in places close to the beach areas. Being an island with a climate so Mediterranean, camping is easier than in other destinations. The network of campsites in Sardinia is quite extensive, and these facilities exist around the coast, by the way, free camping is prohibited and there is enough surveillance by the police to make sure people follow the rules. For example, near the northern city of Alghero is the most popular camping site called Butterfly, open from April to October and has about 250 places. In many of them you can book a place online. If you go with a caravan you can pay about 35 Euros per night for two adults.
It is an example of how this hotel can be misleading. Do not be fooled being guided through the photos and commentary from some stores in the network. It was a completely disappointment in Olbia. You must go down a noisy road and a supermarket, and the view is of the the industrial port city. Luckily I reserved the room that was more luxury because I think the rest had views of the mountain wall, even worse. The building and pool are nice, and the staff was nice, but the place is horrible. Part of breakfast and dinner deserve comment. It is a shame that in a 4-star hotel will offer pea soup with ham and melon first, pasta of the day before the second course, and an ice cream cup, all served by a young waiter who was not trained. Being in the middle of nothing makes it difficult for you take the car to go out to dinner, but it must be done. The furniture and facilities are nice and new, but nothing is to stay during the holidays, is a hotel for one night get away.
Open b & b is conveniently located, clean and quiet. The owners are very warm and welcoming to their guests and the service is the best. For anthropological tourism lovers, it is like being a part of their family. They care for you, spoil you, tell you stories and the views of the basin are spectacular.
On our visit to Sardinia we were fortunate enough to stay at this bed & breakfast. At first it was difficult to find, as it is located on the outskirts of town but once there we realized that we had made the right decision. Alessandro and Monica, the lovely owners of the property were charming. It has beautifully decorated apartments and studios, complete with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Great pool and ample parking. Let yourself be given advice by Sandro, because he will show you the best places on the west coast of the island, the best sunset and even reserve a dinner in an unforgettable location. Enjoy it ...
At first glance the location of Bahia Di Alghero Apartment surprised us a little, but in Alghero there tend to be a lot of this type of B&B. Getting there by car was easy and it was right next to the beach, along the beach walkway. Its location is unbeatable and it's only about 500 meters from the center of Alghero, and a short walk from the beach. Also, if you rent a car to see the island, you can leave the car close to the free parking zone so you don't have to pay.
For lovers of peace and quiet, it's the ideal apartment and we started to like passing through the hallway to the entrance to the living room. It looks like the apartment has two rooms and when we went we had the whole place to ourselves.
Equally worthy of attention are the two terraces it has, one with a view of the sea where you can see the sun rise perfectly. The bustling activity of the nearby path to the beach vanishes when you enter this cozy apartment.
One of the main reasons I would recommend this apartment is also because of its price and, above all else, the great service the owners gave us because the truth is that they were fabulous. They came to get us at the airport, they took us to a restaurant where we had a reservation waiting for us and the truth is that they took us in and took care of us with all the kindness in the world.
When I went to Sardinia on holiday I stayed at the Aloe Bed and Breakfast. It is an apartment located in via Don Minzoni, (with three exterior bedrooms, kitchen and two bathrooms), run by a middle-aged couple. It isn't right in the center, but it isn't too far away either. if you have a rental car I recommend it one hundred percent. It is very clean, cheap, and breakfast is very good. The owners live right across the street and they treat the guests wonderfully. Do not hesitate to ask them to recommend places to visit in Sardinia, with maps and routes which they may point out. You rent the room, and with that, are entitled to the two bathrooms and the dining room. If you have something to leave in the fridge you can too. In addition, free parking is just opposite the apartment. Extra beds are available. The price of a double room can vary from 44-50 euros, depending on the time of year. You can book online.
As soon as the ferry approaches the port of this small island, you can see the red building on the left. That building is a charming hotel with 44 rooms. If you go several days to Sardinia this is a trip that I recommend because this small island remains authentic, with motorcars, clotheslines with laundry and garbage bins in the doors of each house. The hotel decor is modern, the room I stayed in was completely orange and had a terrace that overlooked the sea. The facilities were new and the breakfast was great. There are Not many hotels and restaurants to choose from, and I think this is best. PS: Regarding the comments MINUBE no tea, no coffee and they charged for water. Internet did not work.
The Hotel Barcellona is located in the beautiful city of Alghero, on the Italian island of Sardinia.
It offers some great facilities. You'll feel good, the staff is very attentive and quick to help you in whatever you need.
You'll have a great time!
2.8 km from the heart of Churches. It is in the suburbs, isolated, in a quiet area. We choose Churches as a hub for our short visit around Cagliari. Without having seen other hotels in Churches, I recommend this for value for money. The hotel is great and so is the pool and restaurant, where dinner will cost around € 15. The breakfast was included in the rate of the room which came out to 47 €. The rooms are equipped the basics, clean and average. Bathrooms are nce. Excellent custodial treatment.
This hotel is shocking, the rooms are austere, with modern furniture and dark fabrics, and areas with a profusion of artificial flowers, and outdated busts and paintings in the dining room. The girl at the reception is very nice, and the area is just a few meters from the cathedral, but with the major drawback of the lack of parking, a real problem that meant leaving the car on the same street as the hotel where I was forbidden, and getting up early at 7am to find a parking space in the square behind. Breakfast was not very varied but had great cappuccinos and hot croissants, plus some cold meats.
If you're near Sassari, I recommend staying in Il Quadrifoglio, a bed and breakfast 10 mins from the city. It was difficult for us to find it because the instructions are not enough on this island but on arrival the treatment, cleaning, hospitality and other details captivated us. There is free Wi-Fi, amenities, private parking, books, TV or DVDs in the rooms... For dinner we got some really good tomatoes from the garden. Breakfast is average and the price is really good, €25 per person.
The Hotel San Francesco is located in the historic center of Alghero city making it a very good option if you plan to stay a few days. Staying at this hotel, not only do you have easy access to the tourist sites of the city but are will be sleeping in one of them. The rooms are in a fourteenth-century cloister attached to the church. There is no television because they wan to try to keep the atmosphere of silence, but the experience of going to a very special place and having breakfast at one side of the cloister makes the place worthwhile.
At first a bit disappointing. One do snot know if you're in a hotel or boarding hall. It is supposed to be a Bed & Breakfast. The fact is that despite not having food service, the spartan look of the outside, and the bad views, the rooms are amazing. Whirlpool, TV in the bathroom, large beds, good decor and things you only see in 4 star hotels. In addition there is an attentive and helpful host who will help you with whatever doubt you have about the island. It was a pleasant stay.
The Hotel Club Village Forte Cappellini, a 3 star hotel, is situated just over 1km from the heart of Baja Sardinia. It offers fully equipped rooms with the best services. Some rooms have a fantastic view of the ocean. The hotel offers laundry, swimming pool, parking and a restaurant with dishes.
The Hotel De Plam is located in the heart of Olbia. Most of its 60 rooms face the harbor with views of the gulf. The El Capriccio restaurant serves local and national cuisine. The hotel offers a bar, 24-hour reception, heating and air-conditioning and wireless Internet access in all public areas.
We were going to spend the weekend in Alghero, and we were on a bit of a budget. We found a twin room here for 20 euros each, including breakfast. The guesthouse is great. There's a kitchen (no cooking), a very well-maintained shared bathroom, and all the rooms are clean and tidy. It's a little walk from the centre (about 15 minutes) and close to the sea (3 - 4 minutes). From the hostel, you can easily go to the coast. Breakfast was served by the owner's mother, a very friendly and kind lady who we really hit it off with. She'll ask you for your preferred breakfast time on arrival, and she's very flexible. Breakfast consists of toast, pastries, cereal, coffee, milk, tea and bread freshly brought from the bakery. The rooms are spacious with large closets, and ours had a balcony with two chairs. In addition, you can store food in the kitchen, as well as use the microwave and wash up. It was lovely staying here. On the day we left, we were allowed to leave our bags all day for no extra charge. Without a doubt, if I come back to Alghero, I'll stay here again.
If you cancel your reservation up to 28 days before the date of arrival, there´s no charge made. If you cancel with 21 days, the hotel will charge 25% of the total stay. If you cancel within 14 days, 50% of the total stay will be charged and if canceled up to 7 days before, 75% of the total stay. Outside this period the hotel will charge the full stay. Wifi is available throughout the hotel. Breakfast is included in the room rate and parking is free at the hotel.
The El Faro Hotel boasts a private beach and is located in the marine reserve of Capo Caccia, 8 km from the airport of Alghero-Fertilia. The 82 rooms have satellite TV and air conditioning and most have a private balcony or terrace that opens to the ocean or to the gardens. They are equipped with Wi-Fi and a conference room with a capacity for 180 people. The restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes.
La Cala Fuili is south of Cala Gonone and the last beach accessible by road. If car is not possible, boat is the other option. This beach is idyllic and down the road: it has fine sand, clear water wedged between rocks, limestone peaks, which seem to constitute a set. The beach is well protected and comfortable even on windy days. Offshore, the ferries pass the famous Cala Luna, which unfortunately can not be reached on foot.
Located in the Marina, the very centre of the city, Il Girasole is an accommodation that I recommend without hesitation. The owner, Lucca, is a very friendly man who spoke pretty good Spanish. After just arriving, he showed us our room with a bathroom, and the terrace where breakfast was served. He also introduced us to his wife, another charming person, and his children were running around. Lucca then asked if we needed information about the city, which I never miss out on, and I thought he was going to give us brochures or something. I was surprised when he invited us to accompany him on the terrace, where we sat and he explained everything about the city, what to visit, how to get to the beach. It was so great, much better than brochures. The room was nice and tastefully decorated with two single beds, a bedside table, a chair, wardrobe, television and air conditioning. The bathroom was outside but was not shared (we had a key). With regard to breakfast, they asked us when we arrived how we'd like to start the day, and this pair is very attentive! When we got up, the table was set with coffee, milk, orange juice, bread, butter and jam, ham, and cheese. They also offered yogourt and other things. All in all, I have nothing more to reiterate except that I'm glad I stayed there, not only for the B & B itself, but for the couple who ran it. They were so charming and did not hesitate to help with anything. They made you feel at home!
The Romantik Hotel Santer offers rooms that are equipped with all the comforts of a four star hotel. It has a wellness center, salons and a restaurant. In the spa you can use different saunas and baths, enjoy the whirlpool, solarium and the pool. Massages or a wonderful scented bath.
The Hotel Villa Las Chairs was a real haven and is now a luxury hotel located steps from the center. The restaurant services specialities of Sardinia. There are 25 classic rooms with antique luxury style. There is also bar service and a Sauna, Fitness Centre, Games Room, Solarium, Spa & Wellness Centre, Massage, Billiards, Jacuzzi, Turkish steam bath, swimming pool and an outdoor pool. It is 5 stars.
Our experience was perfect! We stayed here for a week in August. Exceptional service, varied breakfast, spotless rooms (cleaned every day). There's a bus 100 metres away, and a pristine beach about 300 metres away. Recommended 100%
It was chaotic to find this hotel, and luckily I happened to see its location on the internet and it said that it didn´t have a name, which was the perfect clue, It is the ideal hotel to sleep for a few hours because you have a flight at an ungodly hour, because the price of 50 euros with breakfast is something to laugh at, and is within a short distance from the airport. The name have have been changed a lot of times and now its name is SANTA MARIA IDEA as stated in the slate inside the hotel, but they didn´t have time to change the lettering on the outside and there is no way to know it. The building in the back seemed like a mobile ouse and a terrible bathroom, but the bed is comfy and the flatscreen tv was a big size, so it was okay. Inform yourself to find it.
I'm not objective, this is my site, and since I just opened it, I'd like to include it here. I have a passion for hospitality and I think that I do it with a special style. I organise some events in the garden, like literary presentations, and art exhibitions. My guests are very happy - I think the secret is just to take care of them, let them experience the magic of my land, tell them stories, and set the table with delicious produce ...
