This charming hotel is in the heart of Rome, right next to Castel Sant'Angelo and the Vatican Museums. The hotel owes its name to the statue that stands next to Castel Sant'Angelo and represents an angel in flames, which appeared at the top to end the Black Plague in late 500 AD.
This small hotel is located on Via Giolitti near the [poi=5395]Termini Railroad Station[/poi]. It’s a little ways from the downtown area but you can get to the main sights easily on the 3 and 571 buses. Keep an eye on the bus schedules, though; the last bus leaves at 8:30pm and if you miss it you’ll have to wait for the night buses to start at midnight or catch a taxi.
The hotel itself is nice but the room was small and the breakfast was pretty basic. If I had to pick my favorite thing about the hotel it’d be the service. They were very polite, attentive, and helped us with all our doubts
