We found this hotel totally by chance online. It's in a 14th century building that has been completely renovated, including the addition of a large patio. The rooms are spacious and have heating and private baths. It's not too expensive, and the breakfast buffet is included in the room. Note that is near the Campo dei Miracoli, where you'll find the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.
This is a great countryside hotel. The rooms are simple, but comfortable and functional. We had a room with a view, and as you can see in the photos, it was stunning. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and are able to create a family atmosphere. The hotel is very quiet and you can get lost in their gardens where you can sunbathe, relax in the shade reading a book, or have a drink on the terrace. In summer the restaurant is closed at night because dinner is served on the barbecue. The continental breakfast buffet is pretty good. The pool and Jacuzzi are great. Private parking is available and free. There is a charge for WiFI and there isn't coverage throughout the hotel. The hotel closes its doors at 12 pm and opens around 5:30 or 6:30. If you need to get in during this time, you have to speak with the staff. It's nice for short stays and ideal if you want to spend a week in the area and get some rest. If you are driving, you should know that is about 4.5 km from San Gimignano. The GPS Coordinates are 43 º 26'55 .15 N, 91 E 11 º 01'24.

Named Best Hotel in Florence in 2009, The Westin Excelsior Florence Piazza Ognissanti is located fairly close to the famous Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery, about 900 metres away. Of course, the prices in this city are on the high side, and this hotel is expensive - how could a five-star hotel on the banks of the Arno not be? The train station is 500 metres away, and you can walk everywhere easily.

It is equipped with all the comforts offering a three star amenities and superior rooms also have jacuzzis. The hotel Ristorante da Graziano is located just 500 meters from the ancient walls of San Gimignano, at the entrance to the historic city center, which is one of the centers for artistic excellence of this city. You can find a bar where you can have a great drink and eat real delicacies at an amazing restaurant. During the summer the restaurant has an outdoor terrace.
This summer, I stayed here for six nights during my visit to Florence, and I highly recommend it. It is located close to the bus and train station of Santa Maria Novella, and a tram stop. In about 15 - 20 minutes you can get downtown, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot. Part of the hotel has been recently renovated, so it has two zones, so to speak - the old and the new. I requested a room on the modern side, and got it, so keep in mind that this review is only about the new part of the hotel; I don't really know anything about the old. Everything was very clean and in good condition.
The most striking thing about the bathroom was the "hidden" TV, behind a kind of transparent panel. Very original. The breakfast was pretty good, served on the ground floor and offering all the usual selection: fruit, different kinds of pastries, sausages, toast ... there was a coffee machine for hot drinks, or you could order them separately from the waiting staff. There are magazines and books available for you to sit around and read, as well as tourist brochures. The staff were all very nice and friendly, and did their best to communicate with me despite the language barrier.
The Florence CITY HOTEL is a three star hotel located in the historic center of the city. You can walk from the Stazioni Termini (train terminal) which it is very close, about 150 meters. It has been run by the same Florentine family since 1976. It's stylish, clean, comfortable. You can walk to Santa Maria del Fiore, and a number of places that you have to visit as it is in the neighborhood of San Lorenzo. The average price is 120 euros per night, based on double occupancy and 150 euros per night for single occupancy. Although, if you book it through MINUBE we may be able to offer you an even better rate
The HOTEL SAN GIORGIO is on the list of hotels for tighter budgets, which are numerous in Florence. It's a family run hotel, very comfortable and with a great location, close to the main artistic and architectural attractions of this beautiful city. It is located a few blocks from Santa Maria del Fiore, Ponte Vecchio, etc. Prices vary depending on which season you visit. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the service is friendly. Try to get a discounted rate through minube, if it works, surely you'll get one of the best rates out there.
This NH four star hotel offers 129 rooms in an enormous building that's well-connected with many buses and right next to the center.
It's very recommendable because of its decor, location and for having a bus stop right below that takes you everywhere. It includes day trips that leave from Sienna from different points in Tuscany (the hotel has information about them), they have the same departure point in the square.
It's not great that one person has to stay for two consecutive days, and that you have to pay for internet in your room (I always say this, it should be a free service), or that they don't speak Spanish, but overall it's a modern, functional hotel and very recommendable.
This is a fantastic building opposite the railway station, which has 100 rooms. It is a good choice if your flight arrives in Pisa at night because you can catch the bus at the airport, and within 15 minutes, you can be right in the hotel. The common areas are modernized and well decorated, but the rooms are not. Breakfast is more than fair, croissants are fantastic though, and the walk to the tower is just over 20 minutes. I recommend a hotel on the other side of the river if you are going to stay more than one night. The ambient of the city is different once you cross the bridge.
The hotel has an excellent location for those who want to enjoy the beach and outdoor activities it's also within walking distance of the shopping area. Inside it is equipped with the necessary infrastructure so that clients have a luxurious stay, such as a swimming pool, jacuzzi, solarium and an American bar that is open late.
Having returned from a tour through Tuscany, while based in beautiful Florence, I would like to share some details with the minube community to complete the information about this area that so many minubers have shared stories about. I'll start with the hotel, which was a pleasant surprise: The Hotel Palazzo Ruspoli is right in the historic center of Florence just 20 meters from the Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore, which can be seen from the hotel. The hotel's central location is conducive to walking to the main Florentine museums and monuments. Because it only offers breakfast, I thought this hotel operated more like a bed and breakfast. The concierge is only staffed from 8:00 until 11:00 in the morning, and from 14:00 to 18:30 in the evening. The rest of the time the hotel works like a flat; in fact, they give you the keys to the front entrance for you to open the door if you arrive outside the concierge's hours and they refer you to the Hotel Brunelleschi, which is nearby in case you have a problem. This didn't cause any problems for me, on the contrary, the site was very quiet despite being in the heart of the city. The hotel staff, the little I came in contact with him, was very polite and very friendly and the breakfast buffet was substantial. It is a charming hotel, very cozy, and ideal for couples. As for the price, I paid 79 euros per night (breakfast included)for a double room in March. I highly recommended this hotel, I would visit again.
The Hotel Athena in the beautiful city of Sienna is an excellent option for visiting the city. It has very comfortable, well-equipped rooms. This hotel has spectacular views of the city's mountains. Given the fact that it's in the historical center of the city, it has the proximity to the most important sights in the city, like the Cathedral and the Piazza del Campo.
A Fattoria is a farm, but this one is extra-special because, besides being located in the very beautiful region of Tuscany, Italy, it is a vineyard whose wines bear a great tradition of high quality. Besides the excellent wine, the San Donato Fattoria also produces a typical Italian liqueur called "grappa". They also grow a special flower from which they extract saffron for cooking gourmet dishes, and also produce an equally exquisite olive oil. When visiting the Fattoria you sample, and buy, some of their products. If you are lucky enough, you can dine on the exquisite dishes cooked by the owners. Tourist groups are offered dishes consisting of a large variety of cheeses and sausages, accompanied with house wine and grappa, if you like a liquor with a high alcohol content. This is all served in an all Italian atmosphere that leaves you amazed! But that's not all, you have to see the pictures that I have posted because the place is beautiful! It is rustic, antique, and natural. It was built in what used to be the Via Francigena, close to the Romanesque parish church that has maintained its original structure, like most of its homes and rooms. San Donato also has a Bed & Breakfast service (see their webpage for details). It is located 4 kilometres from San Gimignano, 15 km from Volterra, and 55 Km from the beautiful city of Florence. You can explore the Fattoria by foot, horseback, bicycle or car. You will find beauty everywhere which will touch your soul. I must admit that of all the places where I have travelled, this is definitely one of my favourites.
A great hotel, the best I've ever been to in Italy. The service is really first class, and you don't have to worry about anything. In terms of facilities, it's perfect - everything is very new and clean. The breakfast is a varied continental buffet. If you go by car, they have parking, so you can get right to the door without any problems; when you want to take your car again, you'll need to give 20 minutes notice. The price of the parking is competitive (considering that some public car parks charge € 3 an hour, we went out for about 1 to 1.5 € / h), and the service is great - the car can be a real nuisance in Florence. The hotel is a monument in itself. The restaurant in the Torre della Pagliazza, with rounded walls, is the only one of its kind if Florence, and is said to be the oldest building in the city that retains its original appearance. The foundations are of Roman origin and it's believed they could be part of a spa. You have everything bearby: the cathedral 100m, the Piazza della Signiora and Galleria Uffizi 200-300m, the Ponte Vecchio 600m. Its coordinates are: 43 ° 46'18 .15 "N, 11 ° 15'21 .40" E
The hotels in the city are never cheap, but this one has two advantages: the extraordinary roof terrace with a pool, and the conservatory. The decor is a bit outdated, and some things are crying out for renovation, but from here you can walk anywhere in Florence. The service is warm and friendly, and I recommend this as a good place to rest in this beautiful city.
When visiting Tuscany there is nothing better than staying in a cottage which is well located and near a good road which allows you to visit the local towns. We found ours, called Casa Gavignano via the agency "Casa Tuscany Holidays AG", which I have to say gives first service and assistance. Managed by Antonio Secchiano, the agency has a website (info@casa-toscana-ag.Com) where you can choose the cottage that best suits your travel expectations. My first choice was wrong because it was not what I expected. However, Antonio Secchiano then found me an alternative to better suit my needs at no extra charge and with great kindness. I am very grateful for the treatment and care provided. I recommend that you rate this review in "minube" in order to prove it, and so that a great number of other users can find it. Returning to the Gavignano House, I will say that it´s very close to the town called Poggibonsi, about 2 Km away. This little town is not significantly pretty or touristic, but you can easily do your shopping at a large supermarket, which is stocked with everything you need for your holidays. Gavignano House is managed by Franco Valacchi and his wife, a lovely couple who try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Italian Franco is a very caring person and always willing to help with whatever you need. Recently refurbished and with a number of apartments, the privacy of the home is complete. It has a pool, parking, solarium etc. You can see these and other services on its website or in "Casa Tuscany Holidays". It is a lost corner. From there you can visit wonderful cities such as Volterra, Siena, San Gimignano and the Chianti, to give some examples. I highly recommend it. Thanks to Franco and Antonio, they made my holiday in Tuscany unforgettable.
The Vogue Hotel Arezzo is located in downtown and is widely considered one of the best hotels in the area. The 4-star hotel has 26 individually-decorated rooms and features room service, babysitting, laundry, child care, in-room breakfast, ironing, and wi-fi.
The House Salvatori Bonghi, from the XVI century, is the best accommodation we have ever been (and probably will be) in my life, including any other hotel, cottage or whatever. It is a spectacular experience, both for the house itself, which is huge, traditional, and full of surprises, like an ancient cave where you can be very cool even in summer and for the place, in a valley of Tuscany with lovely landscapes. One can and should take trips to the nearest towns of Lucca, Pisa and Florence. Yes, the accommodation is quite expensive.
It is the height of sophistication and luxury, with columns and sculptures everywhere, pink marble in the bathrooms and a large bronze sculpture of Louis XIV in the lobby which players going to the casino rub for good luck. The buttons on the uniforms of the impeccable French couturiers, antique furniture in the bathrooms, wonderful views over the Mediterranean port where yachts anchor. The Michelin three-star restaurant Ducasse, the famous chef, and finally, more than three hundred euros to spend the night in one of the most glamorous hotels in the world. This is where Caroline of Monaco celebrates events, and where Churchill liked to stay.
It was the first time I had been to Spain and I was afraid of not finding the right hotel. With it not being chain, I was not sure, but on arrival I was glad I had chosen this hotel and not another. It is located in Piazza Santa Maria Novela, very close to Florence station (SMN). Before this area was quite run down but has been remodeled in recent years and is a new area which isn't very crowded with tourists, is quieter than the center, and is almost beside the Dumo, which is five minutes away on foot. You can feel the charm of old building which has a special charm and lives up to its name Rosso (red). The service was excellent, everything that we had hoped for, and they didn't make any mistakes, the room was small but very cozy and the breakfast room very well organised on was a courtyard with lots of light and a covered room. Because of its location and service, expect a higher price, but it was very affordable and I left with a big smile. I recommend it to those who will be in Florence for two days to a week. Ideal for couples because of its atmosphere. The photo attached shows where it is located
