The variety of lodging in Bocas del Toro is very extensive. You can find a room for a few balboas a night as well as hotels for all tastes and budgets. The balboa is the local currency and is on par with the US dollar. The city has an extensive hotel network, so you won't have problems when choosing where to stay in Bocas del Toro. There are hotels both in the center of the city and on the islands, as well as international hotels and those near the coast where you can enjoy the sea breeze. It's also not true that the city isn't made for backpackers. In fact it's quite the opposite, the city offers a more than reasonable mid range of hotels, and there's always some options for affordable Bocas del Toro hotels. For those seeking places to stay in Bocas del Toro on a budget, there are affordable, well kept hostels and guesthouses that are well located. If you're traveling with your group of friends, check out the hostels in the city and share a room with the people in your group. There are also very cheap hotels in Bocas del Toro whose prices are similar to hostels because they're a little older. Keep in mind that many of the economic Bocas del Toro lodging includes half board or full board in the price, so you don't have to worry about looking for a restaurant. If you're looking for cheap Bocas del Toro accommodations, you can look for offer on Minube and compare prices to get your stay at the best price possible. Search engines and websites, like Booking, will help you find the best Bocas del Toro hotel deals.
This photo was taken one afternoon in the Aqualodge Punta Caracol. This property is set in a distant tropical paradise without any disturbance and guests are only in contact with nature. The hotel has solar panels to provide energy so it doesn't harm the environment, everything is natural. It's an earthly paradise where you can watch dolphins swimming by in the afternoon, swim with colourful fish and watch the most spectacular sunsets. In short, I recommend this place to all those seeking to enjoy nature and all that it brings.
This property is very close to the town of Bocas del Toro, and it has all amenities. Also it's located a little away from the city's hustle and bustle. The hotel offers all kinds of water sports to guests, or you can go with a nearby tour company. A lot of excursions depart from here, so you don't need to move around the city a lot. It's a quiet and very comfortable hotel.
This property is one of the best options if you want to be close to the Bohemian Caribbean atmosphere while enjoying charming accommodation in a category higher than what you could normally find on Colon, the main island of Bocas del Toro. The house opens directly onto the sea and the sun, and you can watch the boats taking people to nearby islands from the terrace. It's entirely made of wood, and has a common area where you can read a book on the sofas or stay up in the very nice rooms. The hotel is highly recommended and spending a few days there certainly makes your stay in Bocas perfect.
We spent 3 wonderful days at this resort. It's a wonderful place in a natural environment, with marine and avian wildlife, and also very friendly people. The resort made you feel good with peace and tranquility. I recommend this place for its hikes, beautiful beaches, and amazing scenery.
We enjoyed a very nice bike ride along the seafront and stopped at this restaurant-bar, "The Reef". It's a very special and relaxing place because it's also a Spa. The only downside is that you have to keep an eye on your things on the beach while you're swimming in the sea.
