Located next to the Dominican Convent, the town’s original center, these traditional style apartments offer a great stay. They have evolved from the traditional concept of touristic apartments to a concept of comfort and quality appropriate to rural tourism and its idea of relaxation and enjoyment of nature.
With exceptional views of the Hermigua valley, the apartments have capacity of up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The service is great, it has a charming pool, breakfast in the apartment and great views. The equipped studios and apartments have a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, television and balcony or panoramic window.
On the cliff that looks over the harbour (state-run luxury hotel), is the Parador. Here I put views from there and the gardens. It dominates the harbour, the beach of the cave, the town of San Sebastian de La Gomera and its beach. In addition, we see a beautiful Drago (subtropical Dragon Tree native to the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, Madeira, and locally in western Morocco, and introduced to the Azores).
It’s a privileged site, but central. Well taken care of like all paradors.
This little hotel is situated in the center of San Sebastian de la Gomera. Although most tourists prefer to stay in other towns, San Sebastian also has a certain charm, it has a beautiful historic center and is located just a five minute walk away from the hotel, monuments and museums, the famous statue of Christopher Columbus. The hotel dates back to the 90s and was renovated in the year 2000. It has only 16 rooms, plus a dozen studios and apartments. The apartments have a room and kitchen and they are perfect for a longer stay. Cave Beach is located just a 10 minute walk away, with beautiful views to the south of Tenerife. They do not serve food but they can recommend a few restaurants, all close by.
This hotel is the perfect place for resting in harmony with nature. The island of La Gomera is less developed in terms of tourism than its neighbor Tenerife, and it offers a thousand natural beauties, options for hiking, aquatic sports, diving…all of this in such a small territory that most of the time you don’t even need a car.
The Calera Beach is in the valley Gran Rey, a group of three towns with all necessary comforts, one hour away from San Sebastián de la Gomera. It is a luxury hotel that offers rooms with private bathroom, air conditioned, wifi, and a terrace with views of the sea.
Moreover, it has a restaurant that serves good local and international food. The rooms are well designed, spacious and very comfortable. It is a complex of 60 rooms, it is not very big, like the town of La Calera.
The Hotel Torre del Conde is in front of perhaps the most famous historic monument of San Sebastian de la Gomera. The tower, built in the fifteenth century, is the oldest defensive military monument from the time of the conquest of the Canary Islands. The hotel is located opposite a park in the middle of which is the tower. There is also a harbor view on the left. I do not know whether staying in San Sebastian de la Gomera is the best way of seeing the island. I recommend more of a rural hotel in the Agulo or Vallehermoso, but if you prefer to stay in the main city, it is a good choice. Everything can be done on foot from there as you get to the historic center in two minutes. It is a 3 star hotel that is modern (it opened 10 years ago). It has 38 rooms, with music, TV, cable and wireless internet. The restaurant offers a buffet breakfast and as well as dinner.
We spent four days in the hotel, and it was an incredible experience: the service, the kindness, how isolated the hotel is, the nature surrounding the corners, the well kept installations, the company of my wife, all were ingredients that made this one of the best vacations of my life.
I recommend this hotel 100% because you well, because the prices are reasonable (shops, services, beverages), because it is not a crowded building, in fact it is divided into villas, and the staff showed genuine concern of our wellbeing…
This hotel is close to the town’s beautiful downtown, but in a small elevation that has good views of the sea.
The bedrooms house up to 4 people, there are studios and apartments that come with kitchen, fridge and dining table, which is good if you want to save some money on food. If the rooms are for four, there is a sofa bed and a double bed.
The decoration is classic, but warm, and everything is quite new. There is a reception with internet and a TV room. Outside there is a pool for children and a bigger one for adults. There is a big garden where you can rest in the shadow, looking at the sea.
They don’t serve food. The prices of hotels in La Gomera are lower than those in Tenerife, since there is less demand. Here you can spend 50 Euros a night for two persons.
