Located in the new and ever expanding area called "La Tejera", one can find just one step away the future Palencia Palace of Congresses, it is conveniently located less than 500 meters from the city centre. Inaugurated in July 2006, it has very modern rooms and highlights within the facilities include the cafeteria, the social lounge, the 24 hour reception and the internet access.
Recently some friends who came to visit Palencia stayed there and, really, I loved it because, moreover, it has a great rate of only 50 €.
This is one of the most central hotels in the city of Palencia. It offers a very good service for just being a one star hotel. Located on Mancornador street, it is just a few meters from the Paseo del Salon and a side street that goes to the end of the main street of Palencia, ie into the center. Its simple rooms have heating, television, music channel with a single channel (jajaja. .. Better not to ask) and most importantly bathroom in the room. I almost forgot: the hotel also has parking.
This hotel is an ideal place if you want to spend a night in Palencia. It has an excellent price, and while in the suburbs, it is only a short walk to reach the city centre. The service is very good and it is very easy to par nearby, which I appreciate in an urban hotel. Also it is a good base to visit the villages near the capital Palencia and retain an amazing heritage.
I stayed in this hotel in mid September and I thought it was very good, especially the price. The only thing I did not like was that I had no blinds and the curtains did cover the windows so light entered the room and woke you early. Otherwise for me it was good; I would like to clarify that I only slept there, I did not eat breakfast or lunch.
Hotel 5 minutes from the centre
This hotel is found off the main street. It has a swimming pool and golf course. Rooms with double bed are great 2meter by 2 meters. Instead twin rooms not recommend. Staff were excellent. Affordable price 40 € for the double room for 1 night (without breakfast)
The Eurostars Diana Palace is in the center of Palencia, next to the train and bus in the city. The elegant rooms are soundproofed and equipped with free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, satellite TV, desk and bathroom with hairdryer. Varied buffet breakfast. Room service, coffee shop, restaurant, reading area, big screen TV and a computer with free internet access. During your stay you can visit the Church of San Francisco. The Cathedral of Palencia is only 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
Monclus Hotel is in the center of Palencia, less than 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral of Palencia, situated on Calle Menéndez Pelayo (parallel to Calle Mayor). It is a good choice when staying in Palencia. Monclus offers more than 30 rooms across 6 floors. It has been recently renovated and offers wifi internet access.
This year we went to Palencia and we chose this hotel because we'd heard of it. My wife is from there, has family but we don't like to bother people, so always go to hotel. This hotel was one of the first, old, renovated, just over the Iron Bridge, as they call it, but it is also known as Abilio Bridge Calderón. OK, I recommend this hotel. There are others too. Jordi
