After being 8 months without holidays, getting to know the village of Uncastillo has been a breath of fresh air because due to my job, at times I need to relax to be able to think better and this is what I found in the Caserón, the cure (the large breakfasts also helped), also I was surprised again by the superb nature of the Bardenas Reales, something which few people value sufficiently.
Situated in an old manor house facing theSanta María de Uncastillo square, La Pastora is one of those welcoming small hotels which you want to return to, not so much for its comfort or good service, but for the attention and dedication of Inma and Miguel, the owners.
Without doubt, the visit to the district of Cinco Cillas is much fuller with Miguel’s help, an enthusiastic expert on the area, of its history and its secrets. The inn, as a result of years of modernisation, now has seven colourful bedrooms with rustic decor, and a marvellous and complete attic suite, from where you get unforgettable views of the village.
In the evenings, after a day in the open air, there is nothing better than the warm lounge with the fireplace.
