This incredible food tour offers a full immersion into Madrid's legendary food scene. You'll visit two of the city's most historic markets, discover popular local restaurants and try delicious tapas like croquettes, Spanish omelets, cheeses and, of course, hand-cut jamón ibérico. In Spain, tapas are always accompanied by a drink, and you'll also enjoy a variety of beverages from traditional aperitifs like vermouth to Asturian cider or Spain's famous red and white wines.

You'll start the tour visit a visit to San Miguel Market, a turn-of-the-century marketplace which, in recent years, has become one of Europe's top gourmet markets. As you peruse its stalls packed with everything from authentic caviar to fine Spanish hams, you'll learn the history of Madrid's tapas culture and try some of its most famous bites.

For a more traditional experience, you'll also visit La Cebada Market, a local favorite in the historic La Latina neighborhood. As you sample some local delicacies, your expert guide will give you insider tips on how to buy Spanish products and the best tricks to recreate authentic Spanish tapas at home.

During the tour, you'll also discover some of Madrid's most storied culinary institutions like Casa Botín, the world's oldest continuously-running restaurant, or Chocolatería San Ginés, where you’ll have the chance to try the city’s best churros con chocolate.

To finish the tour on a high note, you'll be taken to an exclusive rooftop bar for a sangria toast with amazing views over the city.
