Aer Lingus is the national carrier of Ireland and operates flights throughout Europe as well as connections to North America, Africa, and the Middle East. The company was founded in the 1930's and is partially owned by the Government of Ireland as well as the Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair. Aer Lingus is currently not part of any formal alliance but it does have partnerships with several leading international carriers such as British Airways and United Airlines. The Aer Lingus website offers customer a complete and satisfactory experience including the ability to book tickets directly, and a wide variety of option to manage bookings including online check in, cabin class upgrades, seat selection, and meal preferences. The Aer Lingus website also provides detailed information on the company's in-flight baggage allowance policy including size and weight restrictions for carry-on baggage and the fees required for checked luggage (currently ranging between € 15 - € 70 depending on variables such as season, the size of the baggage being checked, and the destinations involved). All checked baggage can be booked in advance on the company's website. In an effort to provide stress-free holidays to customers, Aer Lingus also lets travelers check their flight status by selecting the corresponding tab on the Aer Lingus homepage and entering their flight number and date of departure.
Ciro Aer Lingus is a great airline if you're looking to fly on the cheap, especially between Ireland and some of the more touristy cities in Europe like Milan or Barcelona, or to the Canary Islands. You should, though, pay special attention to their cabin baggage allowance policy or else you might have to pay a pretty penny to check your oversized bag at the gate! If you have several bags to check, I'd suggest doing it online ahead of time as Aer Lingus offers discounts for bags checked via their website rather than at the airport. If you're flying to the US, though, don't worry as they let you check a bag for free.Delete
