TAP Portugal is the national carrier of Portugal and is fully owned by the Portuguese government. Based in Lisbon, the company operates flights throughout Europe, Africa, and the Americas and is consistently rated as one of the best and safest airlines in the world. Despite the stellar ratings, customer reviews are often mixed, with most passengers praising the low prices and good service of TAP's economy cabin yet stating that its Business Class cabins fall behind those of other, newer airlines. In 2014, TAP Portugal joined the Star Alliance alongside partners such as Air China, Lufthansa, and United Airlines. The TAP website is available in a variety of languages (including English) and offers handy buttons on the left-hand menu to direct flyers to the most pertinent sections of the website: flight booking, online check in, booking management, flight status, and baggage allowance policy (TAP Portugal's current baggage allowance policy varies depending on one's specific flight route, but always allows for at least one free piece of checked baggage). The TAP Portugal website also offers complete information on the company's Victoria frequent flyer program through which flyers can earn miles on TAP flights and redeem them for flights on TAP or with other Star Alliance members.

Ciro TAP Portugal is a criminally underrated airline operating out of Lisbon that offers flights throughout Europe, Africa, and the Americas. It's not the most modern or luxurious airline on Earth, but it is among the safest. That's right, TAP has one of the best safety records of any European airline and is also well known for its friendly cabin crew. The also offer a basic yet fair baggage allowance of one free checked bag and one free carry on item per ticketed passenger. It's not the most generous in the world but in this age of fees for everything, it's certainly welcome.Delete
