Vueling is a low-cost air carrier based in Spain with its hub in Barcelona's El Prat Airport. Vueling is the largest airline in Spain after Iberia and serves destinations throughout Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. In 2013, Vueling was acquired by the International Airlines Group (IAG), a company formed by the merger of Iberia and British Airways. While reviews for European low-cost air carriers tend to be negative, Vueling has received relatively positive reviews which praise the company for its efficiency, friendly crew, and the timely flight. As with most low-cost air carriers, Vueling has a fee-based luggage policy which travelers can find in the “Vueling Services” section of the company's website. Vueling's current baggage allowance policy is as follows: passengers are allowed one free carry on bag weighing no more than 10 kilograms and measuring no larger than 55x40x20cm. Hand luggage which exceeds these measurements will be checked at the gate for a fee of €35.00. For bags checked ahead of departure, the baggage fees vary between €13.00 and €29.00 for the first piece of baggage depending on the trajectory. Overall, the Vueling website is a simple and easy-to-understand affair with clear buttons in the header. Users looking to select their seat, check in online, or register checked bags should open the “Your Booking”pull-down menu located at the top of the page.
Ciro Vueling is a Spanish low-cost carrier and probably the best of Europe's low-cost carriers in terms of friendliness and customer satisfaction. It's like a softer, gentler version of Ryanair! Seriously though, if you're looking to travel to some of the Spanish islands on holiday or are flying out of Spain to any of the major European cities, it's one of the best choices to finding discount flights. They also have one of the best baggage allowance policies of any low-cost carrier, one which actually beats a lot of major American carriers! They charge you a baggage fee of $20-25.00 for your first checked bag if you're flying on their basic fare. They do, however, let you bring on a 20lb. piece of carry on luggage so if you're just looking for a weekend escape, I'd pack light and save the money.Delete
