Beautiful views

Great

This mountain range runs from Lake Placid, NY, through to the state of Vermont. It is part of the Appalachian Mountains, and similar to the Laurentians, north of Montreal. With a maximum height of 1600m, they're not the biggest mountains that you'll ever see, but you can enjoy mind blowing views of the lakes and valleys. In spring and summer, they are very very green and not too crowded if you avoid the major tourist destinations like Lake Placid and Giant, Cascade and Marcy Mountains. Elsewhere you'll find solitude AND fantastic views!

Waterfall in the Adirondack Mountains

I hiked up to the top of this waterfall to get this gorgeous shot, and stood in awe as the cool spray hit my face and the water tumbled down over the edge of those ancient stones, standing strong against the test of time.

The foliage is breathtaking

Excellent

So much to do in and around the Adirondack park. beautiful sights from any of the mountains. There are activities for people of all ages. My absolute favourite time to go exploring is during the fall.
