Way Cooler Than It Sounds
A glass museum may not sound interesting at all, but you'd be surprised at CMOG. This huge museum showcases glassblowing techniques, the science behind glass, fine art, and historical pieces, making it a great place to visit and a nice change of pace from a standard art museum.
While that's lovely, there are two things that truly make this museum unique:
1) The chance to watch glassblowers in action. This is an exciting process and fun to see artists at work.
2) Their glass workshops. To get hands-on with glass art, you can participate in quick workshops such as making your own glass mosaics, jewelry, or ornaments and they also offer longer classes to become more proficient in these techniques.
