Beautiful lakes

The Finger Lakes are as the name suggests, eleven huge lakes compose a finger each, and together they become a hand. They are in the State of New York and each one is named after an Indian tribe. Two of them, Cayuga Lake and Seneca Lake, are among the deepest lakes in the United States. In summer it is an excellent idea to spend the night at one of the campsites around them. The Cayuga is most in demand due to the beautiful river into which it flows. Below, between lush forests it empties into a lake with the same name. In summer, after a day full of aquatic pursuits, when returning to the tents, low temperatures mean that people make bonfires and cook ribs and marshmallows on the tip of a stick, great when placed between two cookies, add a square of chocolate and it melts in your mouth.

Inspiration Point

Our journey began in Chicago, where my boyfriend ran the Marathon of 2012. Our plan was to drive from Chicago to New York through smaller towns. We wanted to get to know that authentic America fewer people visit. On our way, we were in Ithaca, a vacation spot for many Americans. They have their "lake house". It's a lovely area known as Finger Lakes. On the banks of these lakes, you can breathe true nature. You can even smell the deep red leaves falling in autumn. We sat on a bench for about two hours, talking, enjoying the scenery, the place, the time.
