It is ironic that merino sheep wool, which is originally from Spain, is now marketed mainly by New Zealand and the prices are not exactly cheap. This shop-café is situated in one of the most famous areas for its mild climate merino, and offers a variety of souvenirs, crafts and clothing. There is also a restaurant, ice cream parlor and cafe.
Located only a few meters from the museum is a nondescript cafe that, though calm in decoration, serves first-rate cappuccinos. They also have a wall dedicated to sentences written by customers, and after chatting with the owner, I decided to write one that says 'Viva la Vida!'

This is a French-style cafe in the Christchurch Arts Centre, with international cuisine. There is Thai Green Curry, minestrone soup, pork meatballs and pasta with salmon and avocado. Also, coffee and desserts to be recommended
