We ate a delicious paella while enjoying views of the beautiful cliffs. It’s a shame there wasn’t a sandy area to have a little siesta afterwards… Anyway, there are some prepared areas for taking a dip in the sea. 100 perfect recommendable!
This is without a doubt one of the most spectacular places to visit in Mallorca. It is advisable to go early in order to avoid the heavy traffic of buses along the winding road. If you arrive before 11 am and leave before noon it is best. The easiest place to park is in the Sa Calobra car park and walk down through the tunnel to the right. This is well marked.
52 kilometres or so from downtown is the Cala Santanyi, a beautiful tourist area where you can enjoy the views and the beach. The beauty of Palma's sea never stops to amaze me. This is a popular beach for tourists, just 6 kilometres from Santanyi. From the beach, there's a small road that leads to Pontàs, a rock eroded by the waves that seems like a bridge into the water, which is a must-see if you're in the area. It has the usual facilities of loungers, umbrellas, showers and kitesurfing. Next to the beach, there is a snack bar and surfboard rental. In the cove, there are lots of divers from one of the hotels that runs a small school.
