The best of the best, this Colombian island is reached only by plane, a flight of 1 hour 45 mins from Bogotá. It has the most beautiful ocean I've ever seen in my life. It is known as the Sea of 7 colors with it's white sands and always helpful islanders. It has spectacular nightlife in front of the San Andrés beach and is a great place to go on vacation.
Rosario Islands are a group of islands located just a short boat ride from Cartagena de Indias. Book a day trip visit just to see them. There you'll find crystal clear waters, great seafood, grilled fish, hammocks, etc. Wow... paradise, right? If you can visit the lagoon at sunset you'll see it's truly magical! :o)
What can I say about this corner of the world. I took this trip years ago and it's a pity that I don't have more photos. This island can be reached from various cities in Colombia, of course by plane. We flew from Cartagena de Indias on a flight that took about an hour. It is an island in the middle of the Caribbean, at the height more or less the same as Honduras and not far from the country. The fact is that it is closer to Colombia. All beaches around are truly incredible.Just in front of the area where the tourists stay is the key Johnie mini island, which you can get to in about half an hour. It's so colourful!.Don't forget, you're in the middle of the caribbean
Providence Island is a special world, with very peculiar people. Those born on the island use a Caribbean-style English as they main language even though the island is part of Colombia. They are people who live a very particular lifestyle, and in many cases don't leave the island for years at a time.
The first time that I went to this place I immediately loved it and I fell in love with this little island. I was on the plane and the view was spectacular, the sea is blue you can see coral sparkling in the sunlight. When I got off the plane I felt the breeze across my face and the warmth when I got to the airport was incredible. The people are calm, cheerful and very simple. The landscapes are amazing ... Try to explore this wonderful island.
Santa Catalina Island is connected to Providencia by a floating wooden bridge that is 100 meters long and only for pedestrians, meaning that there are no vehicles on the island. It has many mangroves and for a long time the islands were controlled by the British, in fact, it has been assumed that the island was the headquarters of the pirate Morgan, and therein lies the Cueva de Morgan, Morgan Beach , Morgan Hill, etc.
An ideal place to rest, and disconnect from the world. This is an island where the hotel and restaurant is in Punta Norte in San Bernardo Islands in Colombia. It is a good lace for diving, snorkeling, canoeing, excellent seafood, served by its owner Carlos The Uruguayan.
While on a tour of the Big Island of Rosario Islands, we hiked across the island and from there could see the wonderful vegetation that appears like a green cloak that covers the entire area. We visited Cartagena de Indias, where the water is not like that in the Caribbean, not turquoise blue but rather gray, though very warm and very quiet. But here in the islands of Rosario the water is turquoise, very warm and full of tropical colorful Caribbean fish. The island is also well served by good local restaurants, quite simple with good drinks. It is such a peaceful place that it's worth staying for a few days.
