One of the most famous restaurants in Zurich. Formerly it was an armory and, therefore, it is surrounded by a lot of historical legends. Today, the atmosphere is great and it is the perfect place to eat something traditional, such as sausage, codilo ... they also claim to have a good variety of beers, highlighting the specialty of the house for tourists: flambéed beer. Definitely a restaurant that I would recommend to anyone visiting this Swiss city.
You can not go through Zurich and not enjoy one of the best dishes in the world here, that is almost a work of art. The cheese fondue. In this restaurant, it is better if you go with someone, so its not too much.
This is an Italian restaurant situated a few meters from Lake Zurich. Not bad and the prices are affordable considering you are eating in the financial capital of Switzerland. The pasta is pretty good and better when you are eating under good weather on a terrace, although they tend to put the tables very close together and you end up dating to someone so close. It is still recommendable.
Situated on one of the busiest streets of the old town of Zurich, you will find Johanniter Restaurant. Here you will find traditional food and good Swiss beer that is popular during Christmas in these regions. There is a large hall where you can meet to talk about the program the next day. You can also order food and take it home or to the hotel. Good atmosphere.
This cafe is a landmark in the financial district of Zurich. It´s just a few minutes from the lake and it occupies almost an entire huge block which is always a surprise for tourists. There is a bar where you can order something or you can relax in the comfortable armchairs. It´s famous for Sushi and for being a bit expensive. The site is totally recommended but you might want to check the prices before you sit down to eat. You´ll at least be able to afford the coffee...
Undoubtedly, one of the most interesting restaurants I've been to in my travels around the world. It is also true that it is not cheap and not easy to get seated. It is the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Europe and offers a mixture of vegetarian and Indianfoods. You can choose to eat in two ways: A spectacular buffet or set menu. The atmosphere is amazing, the décor is exquisite and the service is fantastic. The Indian food was excellent. It was a special place to eat at on my trip.
Inside Puls 5 you can find this spectacular restaurant that catches your attention just by looking at it. Decorated excellently, it is clear from the start that you're inside something that was once a factory. It is so nice to see that an uncomfortable place can really make you cozy. You sit down and receive a metal menu. But, in addition, the plates are passing by. They specialize in home cooked meals and Swiss food, so it is the ideal place to try the local specialty rösti . A fantastic place, really.
Papa Joe's is an American restaurant like Hollywood Foster's - they do close their kitchen between meals so you can cool off with a beer and eat typical TEX-MEX. I don't usually recommend these dishes, but everyone likes it? Surely there is someone interested in eating some good tacos in Zurich. It is located on the main street parallel to the river, on the side of the river opposite the train station. If you put the address on google maps you find it. It is a pedestrian street. The price is very Swiss bone and if it is your first meal in Switzerland do not be scared. SWITZERLAND IS VERY EXPENSIVE!. If you liked this corner of the world and want to continue traveling in Switzerland looking at my profile to plan your route! And if you have any questions, just ask. I'll gladly answer. A GREETING FROM MINUBE!
If you go to Switzerland you must eat fondue! We went to Zurich and one night we ate it. Our choice was Alexi's Bar, a small door on one of the small streets in the centre, with cozy little tables and candlelight. The fondue is charged per person and comes in a HUGE pot. There are several options on the menu, but we had the classic cheese with wine; Strong, but delicious. The fondue is served with bread, and if you need more, they bring it. It's a simple dish, but a little expensive. Approximately R $ 70 (per person). The owner - who is the waitress - speaks very little English, so the solution is to use the same sign language! =D
The Lake Side Restaurant is located next to Lake Zurich, specifically in the Zurichhorn one of the most popular areas of Zurich. The restaurant is a fusion of Asian and Western food, and are specialists in fish and shellfish, and regional dishes are not lacking in this specimen restaurant. The lakeside terrace attracts visitors on sunny days. The restaurant can be reached by a nice boat ride from Zurich.
For those who love Italian food, Zurich has an option: the Vallocaia. We stopped there because it seemed traditional and cozy. Perfect choice! Service a 10 (waiters speak Italian, so if its easier, use this language), the order came super fast. Before everything we had a bagel with olive oil. I ordered gnocchi, and the dishes are individual. Nobody ate everything, it was a lot of gnocchi! The cheese is freshly grated, and they have a little machine to grate grana padano inside. Use it as you want, the best cheese for the masses! Lunch with drink came out about 24 Swiss francs.
Restaurant Spice im Hotel Rigiblick is located in a wealthy hillside neighborhood in Zurich near the Susenberg Forest. From the terrace, you have a nice view of the city and the lake, as well as the surrounding wilderness. The dishes we tried were delicious; the perfect combination of high quality local products with exotic touches from around the world. I suppose we're used to fusion flavors by now, but there were really surprising. Lovely!
The B21 restaurant is located in the Sorrell Hotel Zurichberg on the mountain of Zurich. Its very elegant and has exquisite furniture and lighting, the menu is varied and imaginative, ranging from typical kitchen fare, to quality meat and fish. The terrace offers great views of Zurich, the lake, and the Alps, and having a drink, ice cream or coffee on the terrace is a luxury.
This restaurant is located in the home of the Dynamo culture along the Limmat river, here you will find a popular meeting place for youth and adults with different cultures and languages. The restaurant offers a daily 3-course menu, if it's sunny, it's perfect to enjoy it on the terrace next to the river. This restaurant always has a good atmosphere with live concerts and a variety of events.
The restaurant is in Neubüehl Irchel park, between Zurich and the University, the restaurant has two separate rooms, one serving the daily menu with three very affordable meals of 20 to 25 Swiss francs, then there is the lounge with gourmet chefs giving delicious variety and quality. There's also a large terrace overlooking the park Irchel in the lake area.
The Josefwiese kiosk was founded in 1997, in the city of Zurich, and is a meeting place for the surrounding residents. In the park where the kiosk is, there is plenty of space for activities such as boules, ping pong, volleyball, and a playground for children. The kiosk has a small selection of fast food, cakes, and grilled meat, plus a variety of soft drinks. This place is open daily from March to October, from 10:00 to 22:00.
