There is no other incentive needed than the views from walking by the banks of the Danube in Budapest, but on August 20 the patron saint of Budapest Saint Stephen means you get to witness the local air show. The stunts are very exciting and will add another reason to visit this beautiful city, of course, not forgetting the fireworks! The thing to keep in mind on this date is if you are staying in Buda and want to go to Pest or vice versa, it can be a bit tricky, because they cut off traffic across the bridges.
This is our favorite heart in Budapest. The most beautiful thing that we have seen on our travels in Europe and in The Musical Fountain was one of our favorite sights in Budapest. In fact, we liked the show so much we ended up coming back the same night to see the full show at 9:00 pm. The full show takes around an hour and has a full light and sound show with songs by Vivaldi, Simon & Garfunkel, and others. You can go really at any time of day, but the nighttime show is definitely the best. An absolute must if you're visiting Margaret Island.
