It has the best croquettes in Leon! Whenever we go for tapas in in the Humid de León neighbourhood, we always go to the Bar Rebote. For me, it's one of the best bars in Leon, and maybe it's because I'm so fond of croquettes and there are all kinds in this bar. But it's a classic and it's always really full, so standing next to the bar and getting into the bar itself is sometimes difficult. I remember that they have every kind of croquette, like bacon and cheese, sausage, tuna, sausage, cheese, sausage, pizza. And also with the fame they've accumulated, you can order to go and eat at home. Soon, I imagine they'll be doing home deliveries as well, because that's all they lack.
We pick at some potatoes and squid. All very tasty. They catered well, service was good. In the neighborhood there are so many bars that we had a great time after the meal. I recommend that apart from being in the square, you also take a peek through the streets, there are also very rich tapas bars.
The "Post Bar" is one of my usual evening Leon, as Lala2 said, the wines and tapas are great, and at a much better price than others around ... But what I really love about this bar is the moment midnight strikes: they dim the lights and light up the room with candles, that's when it's time to enjoy a good drink. Top quality, well presented and well served and at a great price - Post Bar make the best drinks in the city without a doubt! The waiters are always friendly with customers and the music is from 80s, 90s ... Most importantly the songs are Spanish! Anyway, to sip a fine drink in the early hours of the morning (or later) in a good atmosphere without barrels... Post Bar is 100% the best place to go!
This cafe bar is in a walkway connecting the Avenida Ordono II with the new Calle Burgo, just above the city. IT opens in the early morning for breakfast, and throughout the day you can enjoy wine and tapas. It's one of the tapas bars in "Burgo" area. The bar itself is quite spacious with a U-shaped bar in the middle, and some high tables with stools around the perimeter. Tapas consist of a slice of bread with some sausage, and chips (homemade).
Like any native of Leon, I miss my city a lot, and in particular the customs like free tapas. This is among my favourite bars. The tapas are simple: fried potatoes, finely sliced garlic and paprika. Simple, right? Well, I can assure you that these tapas are deliiiiiiicious! Whenever I go back home, I have to stop here. Usually they open at about 12.00 or 12.30 noon, and then again at about 19.30 for the evening. They're always open late at the weekend, and they even offer takeaways, like cones full of their fried potatoes ... mmmm!
This is located in the tapa district of Leon, Burgo Nuevo. To my mind it is one of the best tapas bars in Leon, with abundant helpings of food. In most bars they won't give you more than two tapas per person, but here you'll get four!! The last time we came here, we enjoyed: fried sausages, stuffed mini croissants, kebabs with peppers, black olives, prawns, croquetas, fish, anchovies with cheese ... amazing! I don't think there are many bars in Leon with a spread like you'll get here, and it's all fantastic, too. However there's always a downside, and in this case it's the setting: it's tiny, and it can be really hard to find a table or room at the bar.
The very pleasant dining room is on the top floor, overlooking the busy Plaza de San Martin. The staff are friendly, efficient and fast, you can not ask for more. Food was good, however, if you're like me, and are crazy about this type of cooking and preserving of pickling, as old and as tasty but unfortunately quite forgotten, c, this is for you !The pickled trout is spectacular, brimming with flavor, as modest in price (9.80 €). That alone is worth the visit
