A gallery and restaurant in the day turns into a club at night! A friend had invited me to her 30th birthday for which she had rented 5 boxes at this trendy establishment in Camden Stables. They regularly hold live concerts and karaoke nights which have become popular with trendy youth in London. Oh, and the decor is amazing!
This pub is perfect if you are visit the British museum. It is right opposite the museum and you can eat here after visiting the museum. The food is like in all pubs, I decided to eat Fish and Chips, the traditional meal English and were just as I remembered, bland (yet when I return to London again ask sure).
I spent a great evening here! I visited this pub in Soho to attend an Open Mic. The decor is traditional, the floor is carpeted. In short, you get to the ground floor and are subdued by the atmosphere and a small stage. Strangers come sing Elvis, hip hop, blues, while someone else plays the piano. It was simply breathtaking. A quality free evening! Many of their comedy shows and concerts are free. Go!
This is a cocktail bar located in Soho (like most trendy bars). It is very very nice: they have good music, a good atmosphere, they're friendly and a charming bartender. You must not miss the happy hours: from 4:30 to 8:00 (7:00 depending on the day) and all night on Sunday. The cocktails are delicious, but are seven pounds. All the more reason not to miss Happy Hour.
The Trafalgar Tavern is an old pub located right next to the UNESCO heritage site of humanity in Greenwich Maritime; its history dates back hundreds of years! Do not let the name stop you: it's true that there was a French naval defeat here and Admiral Nelson is a local hero, but the pub is the perfect place to rest your tired legs after a day pounding Greenwich. You can enjoy a drink with breathtaking views of the Thames!
Located in the London Borough of Islington, on the "City Road" (a designation that marks the beginning of the high-traffic zone with a special toll in downtown London), The Eagle pub is a popular bar in which to enjoy a drink after work, and it is always full of people from all over the world! It is also possible to drink on the terrace because the high tables are set out in the form of barrels up against the wall. The bar is famous for being mentioned in the English lullaby "Pop Goes the Weasel."
If you are looking for a nice pub in which to end your night out quietly after other bars have closed, and you want to drink pretty cheaply, Robert Browning is for you! Named after the poet (and not the gun!), Robert Browning is also equipped with a "Billiard Bar" which is the modern version of the French game "trifle," which dates back to the eighteenth century. Ask the boss to explain the game, it's great fun!
Located in Westminster in central London, close to the Warwick Avenue tube station, the Warwick Castle pub is a cozy bar with tables outside where one can enjoy the weather with a good beer (I recommend Black Sheep Best Bitter in particular, to enjoy in moderation, though beer is only 4 pounds). And do not miss "Steak Night"! Every Wednesday between 18 and 21 hours, the Rib-eye steak with fries only costs £ 9!
While I was exploring the streets of Notting Hill, I found The Duke of Wellington, a pleasant and traditional pub. The atmosphere is friendly and it's a nice place to go any time of day. I had the Fish & Chips which were both tasty and affordable. I'd recommend stopping by for a nice meal if you happen to be in Notting Hill.
Yager Bar is one of those that works either as a place for a business lunch or for an evening of dancing. Located only a stone's throw from St. Paul's Cathedral, Yager Bar adapts to any event. The restaurant is simple and elegant, built on two floors with two large dance halls. It's not cheap, but the menu offers various dishes as appetizers, sandwiches, fried platters and specialty drinks. The environment is friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and modern. When night comes, they turn off the lights and the party begins!
Whenever there's a ray of sunlight in London, you'll find the parks full of families, businessmen, and groups of friends out enjoying lunch in the outdoors. After riding our bikes Buckingham Palace and Picadilly, the sun came out so we decided to sit out on the grass and eat a hot dog from Jumbo Special. They were exquisite! Overflowing with onions and real mustard. Jumbo Special is just outside the park near the bus stop.
De Hems Dutch pub is located in Soho. It was during an outing with my company that I discovered this pub. They serve you typical Dutch dishes, like fried peanut butter, and many dishes are made of cheese and ham. This pub was the focal point of Dutch resistance during World War II.
There is excellent atmosphere at El Barco Latino. You can find this bar / restaurant / club at Temple Pier. The servers are nice, you will have a great evening. It is a good place to celebrate a birthday. The tapas are good qualities. The place is widely prevalent in Spanish so it's a good sign!
Tapas Brindisa serves real Spanish tapas, and that's why it's constantly packed. They serve ham croquettes, chorizo, pork loin, Spanish ham, traditional stews, and authentic dishes like "huevos rotos." It's located near London Bridge. Highly recommended.
At one year old, it is one of the newest places on Fulham. A very nice bar to have a drink with friends and dance in the evening. Do not miss the veranda/patio, as it was very pleasant. The price of the cosmsos is good for Fulham.
This is probably the nicest pub on Fulham Broadway. There is a good atmosphere waiting for you every night, and the prices are affordable (1.5 pounds for a pint), which is not bad! This is the perfect bar to meet people and relax after a busy day.
