If you want cheaper Samana accommodations, there are also some hostels and guesthouses. The most popular are located on the beachfront, and some can also be found on the many nearby islands. Also popular are the villas, a type of Samana lodging usually located in idyllic settings with sea views and very comfortable rooms. However, if you were hoping to rent an apartment for a large group of friends, you'll find it more difficult: there are not yet many of these types of places to stay in Samana. Instead, you might be better off looking for a pension or guesthouse where you can share rooms for lower rates.
Half an hour by boat from Samana, a city located on the peninsula of the same name, in the north of the Dominican Republic is an island with a white sandy beach called Cayo Levantado. Recently a luxury hotel has been built on this islet and an artificial beach with white sand was constructed in the turquoise water, typical of the southeastern coast of the country. When you visit Samana, I recommend taking a day trip to this beautiful beach.
What I liked about this hotel wass the closeness you feel with the workers. The waiters are nice and their laughter is contagious. Also, the place is awesome. It is located at the top of Samana town, overlooking the sea and from here you can also see see the famous marine bridge that characterizes. there buses to and from the town every hour, but walking is close, about 10 minutes maximum. The views of the town from the viewpoint of the hotel are great. A good place to take pictures in the best hour. It's a great hotel, 100% recommended.
Villa Serena is a dream stay in Las Galeras, a town in the Samana Peninsula. It has 21 rooms on two floors, and the ones on the first floor are the spectacular, spacious, and huge. Those on the second floor are more ordinary but equally comfortable. The hotel has a small pool and a private beach, as well as a small jetty from where you can kayak to a nearby island or visit some untouched beaches. I was staying half board (dinner and breakfast) and I have to comment that the restaurant was great and totally homemade. There's free internet for guests in the hotel lobby, but being in such a paradise, you won't want to connect!
The best area is next to the beach in a hidden corner, yet cozy, it is surrounded by beautiful tropical vegetation with extensive landscaped gardens. It has separate swimming pools for adults and children, as well as a Jacuzzi, beautiful rooms, a restaurant and bar that isopen all day. They have different meal plans and all-inclusive accommodation. To get there, take the road that goes to Las Galeras Samana from the city and in the town of The Cocoa, after about 12 miles from Samana there is the sign. To get to Samanaa you can take a taxi or "buses" (minibus) and if adventurous you can take a "motoconcho" (motorcycle taxi). Samana has an international airport, El Catey, also accessed from the road to Santo Domingo. Discover this jewel and the experiences that await you. See you later.
This 4 star hotel was built in 2001. The Resort has fabulous views, and is situated directly overlooking the famous Cosonin Bay on the Samana Peninsula. The area is one of tropical vegetation, with crystal clear water beach so dramatic in this beautiful part of the coast of Samana. Located 8 miles from the airport and five miles from Las Terrenas.
This is one of the beaches that I like to visit as well as being nice and quiet has atmospher. With good prices this beach is not very common having much difference between those more especially the quiet beaches of the sea and the visitor
