Cinque Terre National Park

38 reviews of Cinque Terre National Park

5 very special little towns

On the Italian Riviera in Liguria, Italy, there are 5 very special little towns that were built by their inhabitants to be perfectly integrated into the landscape. Today, building in the area isn't allowed because it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can, however, enjoy lots of delicious restaurants with amazing views (they're all built with views over the sea). If you pass through the towns of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore in Cinque Terre, you're going to remember it for the rest of your life.

Cinque Terre

Called Cinque Terre (in English, "Five Lands") it is a portion of coast that consists of five villages in the province of La Spezia, next to the Ligurian Sea in Liguria (Italy). Cinque Terre includes the towns of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore.

Amazing route through Cinque Terre

I had read a lot about this amazing route through Liguria and when I finally saw it, I understood. The villages are just magical. Not even the crowds, August heat, and general touristy vibe could take away from it. It's really worth it. Whether you explore the area in ferry or train (the cheaper option), it's the kind of thing you should do at least once in your lifetime. Go swimming, have some grilled fish, and just enjoy these oh-so-unusual little towns.

Cinque Terre National Park

Cinque Terre is made up of 5 small, cute coastal villages strung along the cliffs. You can visit them on a trip from Monterrosso by boat and enjoy the shopping, beaches, and Italian cuisine. A friend from Milan turned me on to this little corner of the world that will stay in our hearts forever.

A natural park and 5 amazingly beautiful villages

Great

Every village has its own beauty. I went to all by train which cost so little and I could also take my "huge" dog along with me by train by paying a ticket for him as well. Unforgetable experience
