Alkalde en la Fuente del Berro Restaurant (Closed)

Romantic spot in Fuente del Berro park. The Alkalde is a classic of Basque food in Madrid, one of those traditional places where it seems time has stopped. They opened two years ago in the little known Fuente del Berro park in Madrid and I think it is one of the most romantic spots in the city.

The place is not deceiving: it is the same menu as the same restaurant in Jorge Juan street since may years ago, but in a completely different environment. The restaurant has an impressive terrace inside the park; on a summer night it is among the best you can get for a special dinner.

I highly recommend the croquettes and roasted vegetables as a starter and the best fish cooked in Basque style as a main course, their specialty.
