Antonio Marqués de Oliveira Square

1 review of Antonio Marqués de Oliveira Square

A little big square

Situated just a few meters away from the sculpture tribute to the hero of the village of Monçao Deu-la-Deu you can find this small square, which is named after the pastor of the village, Antonio Marques de Oliveira, born in 1958 and died in 1990, as stated on the pedestal made of granite and on which stands the bust of Monsignor. This little square is situated behind the church, directly opposite another famous character "Joao Verde" a poet from the region, located in the large gazebo on the river Miño, at the top of the fortress.
