Typical mountain village

This summer we were in Benasque, a small village of Huesca in the Natural Park of Posets-Maladeta which has grown and continues growing thanks to the number of mountain sports on offer.

The village is totally orientated (shops, accommodation, food and other services) to people who are searching for the mountains both in winter and summer (this s logical because you are in the natural park with its great number of routes, rivers, lakes…).

Cerler and its snow pistes is only 6 Km away. The stone and wood which are used for the houses and streets of the town, have made it into a beautiful and typical mountain village.

Centre of operations to cover the zone

This picturesque alpine village is the best place to organize activities and to be able to cover the zone. In spite of everything, it’s also worth it to cover it on foot, walking through its paved streets.

One of the most important places is the Pedro Pascual Science Center, used by a lot of physicists to meet and work. Through here have past many Nobel Prize winners, so if the ambience of the Pyrenees is good for them, imagine what it can do for you.

Houses of stone and roofs of slate

Benasque is in the valley which bears the same name.

It’s in the very eastern part of Aragon in the province of Huesca. Totally surrounded by mountains, which makes the views really beautiful.

In winter there is a lot of activity due to the closeness of the pistes in Cerler about 6 Km away, and the rest of the year when it’s not the skiing season, the activity also doesn’t cease because you can do mountain and walking activities.

There are hundreds of routes of varying difficulties. The village itself is a typical Pyrenees village, with stone houses and slate roofs.
