Brasserie Gerard

A great alternative to English food

Spending several weeks in England can be real torture for French aficionados and other lovers of good food. We recognize that fish & chips, beans and other pizzas often seem bland and tasteless next to traditional French cuisine as we know it. But do not worry, we found a cure for it! Gerard Brewery, located on the famous High Street, is indeed the place in Canterbury where you can fill your belly with traditional French dishes. We particularly liked the quiche lorraine (8 pounds), the onion soup as a starter, baked cod filet, grilled salmon and creme brulee.
