Bus Station

The Safi bus station (gare routiere in French) is next to the historic city, near where the highway begins to Marrakech. Be careful with the buses because maintenance levels differ a lot between different companies. Some are direct, while others stop at every village. CTM and Supratours are the most reliable. Casablanca is 5 hours away and costs 50 dirhams, but less if you do not stop. Essaouira is about 2 hours away and it costs 30 dirhams to get to Safi. At the station there is a public toilet you have to pay to use (1dh) and a restaurant with a steakhouse. There is also a luggage room which charges 1 euro per day.
