Byron Bay Main Beach

During the 60s and 70s Byron Bay was a hippie town and it still is. The surfers were played a big role in Byron Bay´s growth and creating a relaxed environment, an alternative lifestyle. The waves at Byron Bay are considered world surf lessons with three break points, perfect waves. The waves are tubular and fast when the surf is big and the break is slow and soft when the surf is small, good for long boards. Currently, surfers, intellectuals, painters, sculptors, artists, nature lovers and other exotic people make Byron their home.
