    La Cabana is modern and offers well equipped rooms for the cold.

    The Paltinu Cabana is located on the edge of Lake Balea, at a height of 2044 meters. You can get there via the Transfagarasan road, which as its name suggests, crosses the Fagaras mountains, less so in winter. When the snow starts to fall, they close the road for safety, and then you have to go up via the cable car Paltinu Cabana. It's very nice and it is a popular destination for skiers during the winter. La Cabana offers a total of 26 rooms, there are rooms for two people, familes of four and an apartment. You can rent your skis there and other sports equipment. They will rescue you if something happens.
